Keeping with the strategy of diversifying into allied products, Keld Ellentoft India has tied up with a Canadian Damper manufacturer - MCM Steel, Inc. to design and manufacture all types of industrial dampers in India. This product not only complements its existing product range, it also offers a more comprehensive product array to its customers making KELD a one-stop shop for multiple products.

MCM Steel has been designing and manufacturing dampers for several years and has a strong research and development team. With their support and the intense training undergone by Keld personnel for design, manufacturing, inspection and installation, we are confident to meet even the most aggressive requirements on our customers. In fact, we are currently involved in giving a solution to a very unique application where the customer needs to replace the damper every six months and no other damper manufacturer in that region has been able to give a long-lasting solution.

With the power industry on the up-swing, Keld expects order from large players like Alstom, BGR Energy, Cethar Vessels, Thermax, etc. for power projects being executed in India and abroad.

It is indeed an honour to be a small part of the recently conducted Commonwealth games in New Delhi. In record time, Keld Ellentoft India successfully completed the supply and installation of expansion joints for a power plant that was set up near New Delhi (through Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited) to cater to the power requirements of the common wealth games. Keld's personnel not only worked round-the-clock to manufacture these expansion joints and send them to site, but also worked round-the-clock in adverse weather conditions to complete the erection in time for the Commonwealth games. Many units were in large sizes and had to be supplied in split condition. Keld's site personnel were able to complete these split units and install them at site. In fact, the customer also acknowledged and appreciated the efforts of our site personnel for the outstanding work done against many odds to complete the erection on time. The largest size of expansion joint installed at this site was 7.8m x 7.8m.

In 2003, Keld Ellentoft India had decided to expand its wings in the global market and become a world class global supplier. This year, Keld has added one more feather to its cap by just completing one of the largest supplies to a 9-million tonne steel plant in Oman. Keld manufactured and shipped 310 expansion joints for various applications in the plant. Keld's experienced site personnel have been deputed to supervise the installation of these joints. Before this, Keld had supplied all expansion joints to the world's largest Cement plant in USA. No wonder Keld has been winning the Highest Exporter award in its category by Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC) two years in a row.
